Writing, Writing, and more Writing

I FINALLY finished my dissertation in December of 2010. Here are a few pictures of me during the writing process. Since we've started a new year, I wanted to make sure I started this yearly getting my blog caught up. One of the things I have appreciated about blogging is the chance to reflect on things that I have experienced. I stopped blogging while writing my dissertation and became "super-focused" on writing, analyzing, submitting, revising, and editing. There were a few weeks where I had less than 10 hours of sleep. It is amazing what our minds and bodies can do when we are put to the test. Now, I wouldn't recommend not sleeping on a regular basis. However, I would recommend that you push yourself a little further than you thought you could go. When I think back to the times I was writing my dissertation, I am amazed by the unrelenting determination I had. We all have it in us. How will you tap into yours?

The 21-Day Consciousness Cleanse: Finale

Someone mentioned that I did not write about the last day of the cleanse. (I still get super-excited when I hear that people are actually reading this). The last day of the cleanse focused on preparing a daily routine that incorporates reflection, staying present, and honoring the divine spirit within me. I am really dedicated to following this routine because I believe that this cleanse has changed my thinking, taught me some things about myself, and open my mind to receive and believe in so much more. For those of you who have started the cleanse (I know some at least started), how is it going?) If you haven't started... I'm willing to loan out my book.

One thing I like about blogging

So, I have being doing this for a little over two weeks and I am learning so much about following blogs and creating my own. I also appreciate the comments on my blog, the emails, and the mention of my blog. One of the things, I really enjoy about blogging is it has pushed me to look for the blessings and lessons in my everyday life. It is pushing me to be more reflective because I know that when I blog I will be reporting to YOU! So... Thanks. You are helping even if you aren't reading, because I at least think you are. :)
